Maliyaa-Karu Aboriginal Corporation is a Melton-based Aboriginal organisation committed to supporting the health, wellbeing, cultural connection and resilience of local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and community members. 

The organisation provides culturally safe support, advocacy, practical assistance and community welfare services, helping Aboriginal people navigate challenges and access the support and services they need.  Maliyaa-Karu places strong emphasis on connection to culture, family and community, recognising the importance of Aboriginal identity, belonging and cultural continuity to individual and community wellbeing.  

Through its work, Maliyaa-Karu seeks to strengthen families, support people through times of need, promote self-determination and contribute to a stronger, connected and culturally empowered Aboriginal community across Melton and surrounding areas.
